CUNY Global Slavery and Abolition Working Group

The CUNY Global Slavery and Abolition Working Group, established in 2018, is a forum where scholars present and discuss slavery and its abolition. Numerous forms of slavery have existed for thousands of years across the world and continue to persist in the present day. The CUNY Global Slavery and Abolition Working Group invites scholars, students, public historians, and practitioners interested in the history of human bondage, its abolition, and the reconstruction of post-emancipation societies to join its monthly seminars at the CUNY Graduate Center (365 Fifth Avenue, New York, NY 10016).
